Futurist Thomas Frey "Big Tech Enterprise Will Focus on Education in 2030"

Thomas Frey is a man with an eye on the future. And where he sees it going is online education. “I’ve been predicting that by 2030 the largest company on the internet is going to be an education-based company that we haven’t heard of yet,” he declared to Business Insider

Futurist Thomas Frey cited the EduTech industry as a global core field 10 years later. In particular, it is predicted that artificial intelligence (AI) will play an active role in supplementing educational manpower and improving educational inequality.

On the other hand, experts argue that it is difficult to realize an education system that is made only by AI without human teachers. As in other fields of specialization, including healthcare, AI is expected to improve the educational field by assisting, not replacing, teachers.

On the 9th (local time), a workshop was held at AAAI 2021 under the theme of "Post-COVID-19 Era Education, Design with AI." Hosted by domestic edutech company Ruid, various industry experts from education and AI experts to futurists attended the event.

At the event, futurist Thomas Frey announced that 10 years from now, the main business of tech companies will be education.
